I just tested Matt Pocock’s skill-based AI workflow on my Chinese-learning app, Yuwenke, and it was excellent.
His grill-me-with-docs skill creates a shared-language document with the AI. It establishes the specific terminology of the project, giving the AI a much clearer understanding of what you mean.
The grill-me-with-docs session also offers a different benefit. Having the AI interview you about a feature forces you to define what you actually want, uncover assumptions, and think through implications you might otherwise miss. The resulting document is useful, but so is the process of creating it.
Matt’s workflow and skills address real pain points of working with LLMs on technical projects. The interview was so helpful that I’m tempted to try the same approach for non-technical work, too.
